Her story, in brief
From a wheelchair to 28 marathons and a 50-mile race.
In the middle of the NFL season, Krystalore Crews was in a wheelchair, diagnosed with a really rare form of rheumatoid arthritis. She studied mindfulness, nutrition, movement and active recovery, ways to stay moving mentally, physically, spiritually and connected to community, and came back to run 28 marathons and a 50-mile race. Those studies became the M.O.V.E. system she teaches today, and when she later faced cancer, the same system helped her bounce back quicker.
She served 22 years in the U.S. Air Force, and as a leadership instructor she developed curriculum at the Pentagon on emotional intelligence, mindful self-leadership and resilience that more than 180,000 uniformed members complete every year.
