Share codes between professionals

Coupon codes from doctors

Every doctor and clinic on prescriptions.plus has a personal share code. When an attorney joins using a doctor’s code, the firm receives a discount on its monthly marketing fee as a thank-you for joining through a colleague. The arrangement works in both directions, and it involves no payments between professionals.

What a share code is

A share code is a short code tied to a professional’s profile on the site. Doctors can include it on a card, in an email or in conversation with attorneys they already know. It simply tells the site that an attorney heard about prescriptions.plus from that doctor.

The code has nothing to do with patients or clients. It is never attached to an injured worker, a referral or a case, and it does not change how listings are shown to readers.

How the discount works

When you join with a doctor’s share code, the site applies a discount to your firm’s monthly marketing fee. The discount amount and duration are set by the site and shown at checkout before you pay. They may change over time for new sign-ups, so the figure on the join page is the one that applies to you.

The discount comes from the site, on the site’s own fee. The doctor does not pay you, you do not pay the doctor, and no one receives anything based on any client, patient or case. It is a thank-you from the site for joining through a colleague.

How to redeem a code

Redeeming a code takes a moment and is done during sign-up. If you forget, contact support before your first billing date and the team can check whether it can still be applied.

  • Go to /join and choose the attorney plan that fits your territory
  • Enter the doctor’s share code in the code field
  • Review the discount shown before checkout
  • Complete your profile and confirm your ZIP codes or state

It works both ways

Attorneys receive their own share codes too. When a doctor or clinic joins using an attorney’s code, the doctor receives a discount on their monthly marketing fee on the same basis. This reflects how work-injury professionals often already know one another and gives each a simple way to mention the site.

Your code appears in your account dashboard. Sharing it is entirely optional and has no effect on your own listing, your territory or your position.

Keeping it within the rules

Because the discount is a fixed courtesy from the site on its own marketing fee, and is never tied to referrals of clients or patients, it is designed to stay clear of referral-payment concerns. Even so, professional rules differ by state.

If you have any doubt about whether accepting or sharing a code is appropriate for your firm, check your state bar’s rules first. Nothing on this page is legal advice.

Frequently asked questions

How much is the discount?+

The site sets the discount and shows it at checkout before you pay. The amount may change over time for new sign-ups, so the join page always shows the current figure.

Does the doctor get paid when I join?+

No. No money passes between you and the doctor. If the doctor joined with an attorney’s code, their own discount comes from the site on their own fee.

Does using a code affect how my listing is shown?+

No. Share codes affect only the marketing fee. Listing order, labelling and territory work the same way for every firm.

Can I use more than one code?+

One share code can be applied per account. If you have several colleagues on the site, choose the code of the person who introduced you.
