Start with what the site can show you
Your prescriptions.plus dashboard shows activity that the site can see directly: how often your Sponsored listing was displayed in your territory, how many people viewed your profile and how many consented requests were sent to your firm. These are visibility and interest measures, not outcomes.
Treat them as early signals. A rising number of profile views with few requests may point to a profile that needs clearer information. Few views may mean your territory or categories are narrower than you expected.
Track your own response
Response time is the metric most within your control. Record when each request arrived, when your firm first reached out and when a real conversation took place. Firms that measure this often discover delays they did not know about, such as weekend gaps or requests sitting in an unwatched inbox.
Also note the outcome of first contact: reached, left message, wrong number, not interested, outside practice area or conflict. These categories tell you whether a drop in conversations is a marketing issue or an intake issue.
- Time from request to first contact attempt
- Time from request to first real conversation
- Share of requests reached within one business day
- Reasons requests did not move forward
Signed cases are your metric
Whether a person becomes a client depends on your firm’s screening, your conversation and the facts of their situation. The site does not know, and should not know, which requests became clients. Track that in your own case management system, with the source recorded at intake.
Keeping this information inside your firm also protects client confidentiality. You can still use it to calculate meaningful ratios, such as the share of requests from a channel that turned into consultations, without sharing client details with any marketing vendor.
Cost per request and cost per consultation
Divide your monthly subscription by the number of requests received that month to get a simple cost per request. Over several months, divide total spend by consultations held for a cost per consultation. Comparing these across channels helps you decide where to put next year’s budget.
Look at trends over a quarter or more rather than week to week. Work injuries vary with seasons, construction cycles and local hiring, and short periods can be misleading in either direction.
Be honest that results vary
No marketing channel produces the same results for every firm. Territory, competition, practice focus, reputation and intake quality all play a part. A channel that works well for one firm may not work for another, and the same firm may see different results from one year to the next.
prescriptions.plus sells visibility and territory, not outcomes. If your numbers show the channel is not right for your firm, you can change territory, change plans or cancel at the end of a billing period. Making that decision on clear data is better for everyone.
Frequently asked questions
Will the site tell me how many cases I signed?+
No. The site cannot see which requests became clients, and that information belongs inside your firm. Track signed cases in your own case management system with the source recorded at intake.
What is a good cost per request?+
There is no universal benchmark. It depends on your territory, your practice and your other channels. Compare it with what you pay elsewhere for similar results.
How long should I measure before deciding?+
A quarter or more gives a fairer picture than a few weeks. Seasonal and local patterns can make short periods look better or worse than they really are.
Can I cancel if the numbers do not work for my firm?+
Yes. Plans are monthly, and you can change territory, change plans or cancel at the end of a billing period.
